Obituary of Alice Elizabeth Dawes

Alice Elizabeth Sias-Dawes, born on March 30, 1919 in Mecosta, Michigan, passed away at age 99 on July 29, 2018. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Dawes; her husband, Charles Sias; her beloved daughter, Edith Moran; son, Edward Barker; and grandchild, Chris Barker. Alice is survived by her grandchildren, Patrick Moran, Colleen Drzewiecki, Yvette Jackson, Kirk Barker, and Hope Carmickle; great-grandchildren, Kristin Staley, Cayla Drzewiecki, Katelin Moran, Shelby Drzewiecki, Aubrey Drzewiecki, Christopher Weaver, Russell Jackson, Thomas Bekemeier, Dylan Bekemeier, and Noell Jackson; 1 great-great-grandchild, Ryan Staley; and 1 nephew, Mitchell Watkins. Alice enjoyed an active life and friends in Traverse City, Michigan and in Stuart, Florida. Her last years in Clinton Township after the death of Charles Dawes were shared with dear, caring friends and neighbors. Alice was loved by her family and will be greatly missed by all. A private memorial will be held for family members at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michigan Humane Society or Veterans of America.
