Candice Lynn Rachor

October 1, 1950 — May 20, 2026

Canton Twp., MI

Candice Lynn Rachar was born on October 1, 1950, to Kaireen and Joesph Kozma Jr. in Detroit, Michigan. She grew up alongside her three brothers Jak, Tim, Doug, and sister Melissa. Candice attended Central Michigan University and completed her degree at University of Michigan Flint.

She met her lifelong best friend, Carol, when she began working as a real estate agent and later found her niche at Art Van Furniture, working there for over 25 years as a salesperson. Candice had two beautiful daughters, Angelica and Heather, and four grandchildren: Anastasia, Lilyann, Nolan, and Evan. Candice is preceded in death by her parents, Kaireen and Joesph Kozma Jr., her brother Tim, and her granddaughter Anastasia.

Candice played backgammon competitively and could always beat anyone in Skip-Bo. Although she never quite mastered the art of cooking, she did make excellent oatmeal raisin cookies, crepes, spinach balls and cheese dumplings. Her family and friends can all tell you that if she was left alone at your house, you might come home to all your furniture rearranged and set at angles that would impress any geometry teacher. Candice loved ugly Christmas sweaters, Diet Coke, church, and her family. She had excellent taste in clothing, and was always the best dressed in the room. Candice left behind many treasured memories and will be dearly, deeply missed.

We welcome all who knew and loved Candice to share memories, stories, and special moments from throughout her life. She touched many lives over the years and formed lasting friendships through every chapter of her journey. A memory book will be available for anyone who would like to leave a written message, story, or reflection as we honor the love, laughter, and joy she brought to so many. Toward the close of the evening, guests who wish to share a few words or memories will be invited to do so. Our family is deeply grateful for the love, support, kindness, and prayers we have received during this difficult time.
