Obituary of Charlene Johnson

Charlene Johnson, age 67, born March 29, 1950 passed away on Friday, January 12, 2018. She was the eighth child and 7th daughter to Hugh and Edna Johnson. She was born and raised in Detroit, attended and graduated from Detroit's Northeastern High School. Later attending Wayne County Community college for Social work.

Charlene was employed by the State of Michigan for nearly 40 years. She was a dancer and seamstress and adored caring for her nieces and nephews Charlene was a beautiful and caring sister and aunt. She always looked out for those less fortunate. She was preceded in death by her parents

Hugh and Edna Johnson, and sisters Lula Johnson, Willa Mae Montgomery, Delores Johnson and Lucille Beasley. Charlene leaves siblings: Bessie Champion, Hugh Johnson Jr, Darcelle Hayes, Terry Browne, Ray Johnson, Earl Johnson, Lanetta Nicholson, Karla Price and Thomas Johnson.

And, many, many nieces and nephews.

There will be a private memorial service at a later time for family and friends.
