Charles “Chuck” Throm passed away on January 19, 2026. He was born on July 28, 1947, in Toledo, Ohio.
Chuck enlisted in the United States Army on June 5, 1969, and proudly served his country. Following his honorable discharge, he earned his bachelor's degree from Wayne State University followed by a lifelong career with Chrysler Automotive, where he worked for many years and later retired as an executive.
Outside of his career, Chuck enjoyed an active life and he especially loved being on the water. Boating was a true passion, and he cherished any opportunity to spend time on the lake. He also enjoyed traveling, particularly to Florida, where he found relaxation and warmth.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Kristine Soderberg; his son, Matthew (Amy Ingalls) Throm; and his daughter, Megan Throm. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Throm; his parents, Charles and Betty Throm; and his sister, Polly Curtis.
Chuck will be remembered for his dedication to his family and friends, his strong work ethic, his dancing moves, and his love of the water. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Memorial donations may be made in Chuck’s honor to Lighthouse of Oakland County, Habitat for Humanity or by donating blood to the Red Cross.
