Constance Budrick
January 11, 1938 - May 25, 2025
Constance Marie “Connie” Budrick peacefully entered eternal life on May 25, 2025, in Livonia, Michigan, strengthened by her family and graced with the Sacraments.
Born on January 11, 1938, in Detroit, Connie was the beloved daughter of Irene Schindler, who raised her with love, strength, and perseverance. Connie attended St. Agnes Catholic School in Detroit and graduated in 1956. She began her professional life as a secretary at Detroit Edison, where she worked for a few years before transitioning to a vocation of care as a nurses’ aide at Allen Park Convalescent Home, serving with love and dignity, ensuring no one faced the end of life alone.
In 1959, Connie married the love of her life and soulmate, Thomas Budrick. Together, they built a beautiful life rooted in deep love, unwavering support, and shared dreams. Over the course of their 50 wonderful years of marriage, they created a close-knit, loving family, and were devoted parents to their three children and proud grandparents to five grandchildren. Connie and Tom were a constant source of help, guidance, and encouragement to their children and grandchildren, always present with open hearts and helping hands. Their home was a place of welcome, filled with warmth, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Beyond their family life, Connie and Tom shared a spirit of adventure and were fortunate to travel the world together, making cherished memories that became part of their beautiful love story. Though Tom passed in 2010, their love endures, and they are now joyfully reunited in eternal life.
Connie was a gentle and humble soul with a strong spirit, known for her patience, kindness, and generosity. Her joyfulness and unwavering faith brought comfort and strength to all who knew her. Connie displayed strong resilience in the face of adversity. She faced challenges head on, and viewed them not as an obstacle but as an opportunity to learn, love, and show grace. She lived her love sacrificially—always putting others before herself. More than anything, Connie took pride in her role as a mother and grandmother, and she found deep joy in watching her children and grandchildren grow in love and faith.
She is survived by her children Marc (Susan) Budrick, Kenneth Budrick, and Karen (Scott) McBride; and by her five grandchildren: Ashleigh (Courtland) Jackson, Laurel (Tanner) Wolfe, Meagan McBride, Kayla McBride, and Haley McBride.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Irene Schindler; her beloved husband Thomas Budrick;
