Daniel Gillenwater

Obituary for Daniel J. Gillenwater November 28, 1950 – September 20, 2026

Daniel “Danny” J. Gillenwater was a good man—protective, kind, and deeply devoted to his family. He was always willing to lend a hand when someone needed him, and his love for his family was evident in the way he cared for and supported them. Danny dedicated his entire 30-year career to General Electric. He also proudly served our nation in the United States Army as a military police officer in the Panama Canal Zone.

Danny shared a loving relationship with Patricia Ondrus. Pat’s children—Patricia Beno, George Flora III, and Maria Flora—embraced Danny as a cherished member of their family, along with Pat’s five grandchildren. Danny and Pat cared for one another deeply and shared a meaningful bond.

Danny is cherished by his siblings and extended family: Marion Gillenwater, Sr. (deceased); Cheryl Gillenwater; Edna May Saier (deceased) and Robert Saier (deceased); Etta Fay Shea (deceased) and John Shea; Nena Hernandez and John Hernandez; Linda Bergamo (deceased) and Leo Bergamo (deceased); Brenda Wiegand and Rick Wiegand; Elizabeth Skolas and John Skolas; and Mel Stull, Jr. and Lorri Stull.

Danny also cherished by 27 nieces and nephews, along with several great-nieces and great-nephews who will remember him with love.
