Denise Palmer

Denise Palmer of Dearborn, age 74, passed away on July 19, 2026.

Beloved wife of the late Philip Palmer. Loving mother of Scott (Heidi) Palmer, Kate Palmer, and Mark (Amanda Abbott) Palmer. Dear grandmother of Leon, Malcolm, and Ernie. Sister of the late Kraig Colburn and Tracy (Ron) Reinke.

Denise dedicated her career to teaching at Burger School for Students with Autism, where she touched the lives of countless students. She was also a proud, longtime member of P.E.O., a philanthropic organization dedicated to helping women pursue higher education, and took great joy in supporting its mission throughout her life. A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church of Dearborn on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in her honor may do so to the Philanthropic Educational Organization Scholarship Fund.

She will be greatly missed and warmly remembered.
