Donald Baldwin, beloved husband, father and Poppy, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2025.
He was a devoted husband to his wife, Jennie, with whom he shared almost 66 years of love, partnership, and memories. Together, they raised three beautiful daughters, Lynn (Tim), Julie (Tom), Cindy (Dennis) who were the joys of their life. Don was also a proud and caring Poppy to Luke, Nikolas, Christian, Andrew, Jack, and Elliot.
Don served his country with honor during the Korean War, where he was stationed in Japan. Professionally, Don spent 44 successful years working at Detroit Edison. Post retirement, he continued to work for over 20 years at SHAR, where he was instrumental in the development of their Human Resources department. Don filled the rest of his retirement days pursuing his favorite hobbies, including golf and tennis. Additionally, he was a passionate golf instructor, passing his love and knowledge of the game to anyone who was willing to learn.
Those who knew Don will remember his quick witted humor, gifted storytelling ability, excellent speeches, and his unwavering love for his family. He will be deeply missed, and his memory cherished.
