Obituary of Dorothy M. Dykes

Dorothy M Dykes, 80, of Otter Lake, passed away February 20, 2012. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 25, 2012 at St. Timothy Lutheran Church of Otisville at 450 Wilson Road., Otisville MI 48463 with Pastor David Weiss officiating at 11:00 a.m. and lunch immediately following the services.

Mrs. Dykes was born August 17, 1931 in Genesee Co. the daughter of Effie (Wines) and Ray Thompson. She was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church, VFW, American Legion Auxillary, Woodmens of the World, Forest Township Senior Center and was a LakeVille Retired School Teacher of 35 years.

Survivors include son and daughter in-law, Marc and Lisa Dykes of Lancaster, MA; daughter and son in-law, Janice and Robert Zacharias of Otisville, MI; grandchildren, Jodi Hohenstein and Nathan Blatt of Otter Lake, MI, Jami and Brandon Galus of Bay City MI; Amanda Dykes of Lancaster MA, and Alex Dykes of Lancaster, MA; and great grandchildren Katelin, Caleb Gentner and Ashley Blatt along with many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John G Dykes, and Brothers and Sisters. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made on her behalf to Heart or Cancer institute.
