Obituary of Dorothy H. LeBlanc

Dorothy H. LeBlanc (nee Flanders), age 82. Our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and friend passed into eternal life on September 30, 2010. Born and raised in Flint, Dorothy graduated as an RN from Harper Hospital (1949) and married the love of her life, Leo Kenneth LeBlanc (Kenny) in 1950. Together Dorothy and Ken filled their life with their passions of gardening, antique collecting, and local history and culture. Dorothy served as a member and president of the Herb Society of Greenfield Village and helped to maintain the Knot Garden next to the gift shop. Dorothy was predeceased by her infant son David Kenneth, her "Kenny" in 2000, and her sister Rita. Dorothy and Ken raised four children in Dearborn, David (Mary Malik) LeBlanc, Susan (Raymond)Sander, Carol Smith, and Jeffery (Michelle) LeBlanc and they survive. Dorothy and Ken also leave behind ten grandchildren who remember her with great affection. Services for Dorothy will be held at Christ Episcopal Church, 120 N. Military, Dearborn, Sunday, October 3, 2010, at 3:00pm in the chapel. Reception to follow with details provided at the service.
