Douglas George DesChenes, 96, of Livonia, Michigan passed away peacefully on July 16, 2026 in Livonia, Michigan. Born in Garden City, Michigan on March 16, 1930 to George and Marian DesChenes. He is preceded in death by his wife, Donna DesChenes, and son, Gary DesChenes. He is survived by his children: Craig (Katy) DesChenes, Brenda (Mike) Cowan, Susan DesChenes, Janet (Keith) Norling, and his son’s wife Deb DesChenes. Douglas had 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Doug had a dry sense of humor and appreciation for the simple things in life! He will be missed and loved by all. A private memorial lunch will be held. Please donate to your favorite charity in lieu of flowers.
