Eric Paul Stopa

Eric Paul Stopa, 63, of Westland, Michigan, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 7, 2026. Born February 17, 1963, to the late Edward and Nancy (Green) Stopa.

Eric had a huge passion for teaching children and helping others in need. He enjoyed playing music and played on various instrumentss. In his spare time, he loved to write and was a true lover of nature.

He is survived by his siblings, Sue (Rob) Fredricksen, Lynn (Bob) Brandon, and Brad (Christine) Stopa; many nieces and nephews whom he loved greatly; and great nieces and nephews whom he adored. Eric was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Nancy Stopa.

A celebration of Eric’s life will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026, from 10:00am to 12:00pm, at Plymouth Coffee Bean, 884 Penniman Ave., Plymouth, MI 48170. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eric’s name to the Little Victors Wagon Program or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
