EricK Stecher, age 53, of Troy Michigan passed away at home on August15, 2023, after a valiant three-year battle with Long-Haul COVID.

Prior to his illness, EricK was a noted Executive Chef in Michigan, Nevada, and Arizona. Highlights of his 30-year career included cooking for Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton, and notable celebrities like Ice-T and Coco, Muhammed Ali, and Nicolas Cage.

From his first job at Maria’s in Detroit to the fabulous Vic & Anthony’s Steakhouse in Las Vegas, EricK brought a dynamic mix of creativity, high energy, and storytelling to the table, along with a passion for great food experiences. He was bold, adventurous, and generous and always had time for one more story or one more meal.

EricK leaves behind three sisters: Janet (Paul) Gallo, Carolyn Stecher Wood, and Nancy (Guy) Monarch and his Aunt Florence (Mike) Nagy, Uncle Tom Choloff, and cousin, Debbie (Chris) Turk. Also, his beloved nieces and nephews: Joshua (Jackie) Wood, Stone (Emily) Monarch, Justin (Jaclyn) Wood, Chance Monarch, Tehya Monarch, Jack Turk, Christina Gallo and Elijah Gallo and one beloved grand-nephew Cal Monarch. And countless friends.

EricK is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Christine Stecher, and his sister, Diane Stecher.
