Eula Mae McCrary was born October 4, 1916, in Talbotton, Ga. She was married to Charlie Ruben McCrary for 78 years and to this union gave birth to three daughters: Lovie Mae, Doris Virginia and Betty Ann. The family moved to Detroit, Michigan, in 1943. She has been a member of the Church Of The Madonna since 1947. At the age of 65, she retired from employment at Harper Hospital. She became a widow in 1994, and lived alone in her Pasadena Street home until 2007, at which time she was over 90 years old. She passed away in her sleep at the Livonia Woods Nursing Home in the morning hours of May 19, 2009. Eula leaves behind her 3 daughters, 8 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. A memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2009, Church of The Madonna, 1125 Oakman Blvd., Detroit, Mich 48238. Family hour at 10:30 am, followed by Mass at 11:00am. The family requests donations be made to the Church of the Madonna.
