Gary Allen Karle

February 27, 1943 — March 22, 2026

Dearborn Heights, MI

Gary A. Karle, 83, of Dearborn Heights, Michigan, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2026. He was born on February 27, 1943, in Sacramento, California.

Gary proudly served his country in the United States Army, retiring after 23 years of faithful and dedicated service. During his time in the military, he married the love of his life, Sandra, while stationed in Germany. Together, they built a life centered on love, resilience, and adventure, raising their two sons, Kevin and Kurtis, as they traveled the world from one duty station to the next.

Above all else, Gary was a devoted husband, father, and provider. He was the kind of dad anyone would be grateful to have—steadfast, caring, and always putting his family first. He made sure his loved ones were supported, cared for, and never went without.

Gary’s kindness extended far beyond his family. He had a gift for making friends wherever he went and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures, including playing euchre, fishing, and especially bowling. Ford Lanes Bowling Center became a second home to him, where he built lasting friendships and shared his passion for the sport. He took great pride in watching his sons follow in his footsteps, cheering them on with enthusiasm and love.

Gary is survived by his son, Kevin (Kristina Sitarenios) Karle; his siblings, Ronnie (Shirley) Karle and Wayne Karle; and dear friend, Mike Makki. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 49 years, Sandra K. Karle, and his son, Kurtis Karle.

Gary will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his generous spirit, and the many lives he touched along the way. His legacy of kindness, strength, and devotion will live on in all who knew and loved him.
