Obituary of Gloria B Theodoroff

Gloria Theodoroff, age 96, passed away August 22, 2018. Longtime resident of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.

Beloved mother of NancyTheodoroff Townsend, Debra (Walter) Oben, and Dr. Bradford Theodoroff. Proud grandmother of Julie (Nathanial) Wood, Gregory (Alexandria) Townsend, Lisa (Hank) Zakroff, Stephen (Myriam) Oben, Karen(Jourdan) Merritt, Christopher Oben, Ariel Theodoroff, Ford Theodoroff, and Britton Theodoroff. Great-grandmother of 5. Sister of Yolanda Brugaletta. Predeceased by her husband of 56 years, B. James Theodoroff.

Gloria was a graduate of The University of Michigan, BA 43, MA 47. She was invited into several honorary societies: Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi and Pi Lambda Theta. At one point she had the opportunity to become a concert pianist but chose to become a Latin teacher. She was active with Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority as an undergrad and as an alumna and served her community with the League of Woman Voters, the Girl Scouts, managing cookie drives for Oakland County, and as an election official at polling locations. When her husband,Ted, retired, she enjoyed working at Jacobsons Childrens Shop.
