Gregory Mitchell

Gregory Mitchell, age 67, passed away on February 5, 2026, in Detroit, Michigan. He was born on September 26, 1958, in McDowell, Kentucky, to Yvonne Mitchell (née Patrick) and the late Forrest Mitchell, who preceded him in death; brother Jeff Mitchell (wife Gina ) and sister Debbie Pugh (née Mitchell) (husband Mike).

Greg worked for the City of Royal Oak, Michigan, where he dedicated many years of service before retiring in May 2023. He took pride in his work and in serving the community.

Gregory is survived by his beloved wife, Chrissi Mitchell; his stepson, Aidan Duhl; his daughter, Megan Abraham (née Mitchell) and her husband Anil (grandchildren Olivia and Elijah); and his son, Adam Mitchell.

Known for his integrity, strong work ethic, and loyalty, Greg valued family above all else and was someone others could always depend on. His guidance, humor, and compassion will be deeply missed, but his legacy lives on through the lives he touched.

Gregory will be remembered with love and gratitude by his family and all who knew him.
