Obituary of Helen C. Totman

Totman, Helen Carol Walker Age 88 of Rochester Hills, formerly of Royal Oak passed away peacefully on December 20, 2015. Born in Charleston W.Va, she was the daughter of the late Maysel and Roy Walker. She is survived by her children Mark(Jonelle)Totman, Marsha Clearwalker and Jeff(Judy)Totman, brother Ronald (Marilyn) Walker, grandchildren Megan(Ben)Vrazo and Lauren(Eric)Diem and great-grandchildren McKenna, Jackson and Henry. She is preceded in death by her siblings Norma Jean Thomas and Robert Walker.

As a child Helen played piano and had a passion for singing. She often performed at her schools, on local radio programs and with big bands. In her later years she developed a love for ballroom dancing and did so avidly for many years until health issues prevented it.

Helen was a very loving and caring mother who took great pride in her home and family. She always went out of her way to make holidays extra special for everyone. Aside from loving her children and grandchildren she enjoyed various activities including reading, playing games, caring for her cats and singing in the choir at her senior living facility. She was a loyal Red Wings hockey fan. She really enjoyed traveling and went on many trips over the years to visit her children and go on adventures with them.

Helen will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral arrangements are cremation and a private family celebration of life. Memorial donations can be made to the Michigan Humane Society.

Please share a memory of Helen on her online guestbook.
