Helen Louise Walker(nee Urmy) age 92, passed away on May 20, 2014, in Canton, MI. She was born on December 9, 1921, in Croswell, MI, to Russell A Urmy and Lula M. Sly. Helen married Philip R. Walker on June 8, 1946.
She is survived by a daughter, Stephanie Walker, and her husband, John Edwards of Canton. Helen is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Ila Robbins of Fenwick, MI; sister-in-law, Mrs. Yvonne Walker of Croswell, MI; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Philip, and a brother Earl H. Urmy.
Mrs. Walker was a member of the First Methodist Church in Port Huron. She was a life-long resident of the Port Huron area, and prior to moving to Canton 2 years ago, she resided at the Blue Water Lodge in Ft. Gratiot, MI. Her family suggest donations to the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association.
