Jane Ann Sokoloski

Jane Ann Sokolski, age 77, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories and countless lives touched by her kindness, generosity, and love.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Josephine, and her beloved spouse, James MacGregor.

She was the loving mother of Ken (Angela) and dear sister of Ken (Cheryl). Loving Busia of Nate and Ben, and Ciocia Jane to Jason, Kelli, Eric and Ryan. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends who will forever remember her warmth and generosity. Jane will be remembered fondly by her lifetime friend, Gale Owens.

Jane had a true passion for cooking and was, quite simply, an extraordinary cook. She took great pride in honoring her Polish heritage, most famously through the delicious pierogi she lovingly prepared for her family. Her cooking was more than simply preparing a meal—it was one of the ways she expressed her love for those around her.

Jane also had a generous heart and loved giving gifts to her family, always finding joy in making others happy. She had a love for travel, with Disney holding a particularly special place in her heart. She also enjoyed going on cruises and creating wonderful memories along the way.

Jane will be remembered for the love she gave so freely, the traditions she carried on, the meals she lovingly prepared, and the countless memories she created with the people she loved.

She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all of the lives she touched. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know and love her.

Later in life, Jane was passionate about The National Kidney Foundation and their fundraising walks through the Detroit Zoo. Donations to this foundation can be made in her name in lieu of flowers. 

A celebration of life will be determined later in the future.
