Leroy Donald Davis Jr.

Leroy Donald Davis Jr. age 73, of Garden City, MI, passed away on April 21, 2026. He was born on April 6, 1953, in New Eagle, PA. He is survived by his wife Marlene (Bakaitis) Davis; son, Alan Bear Davis; and two grandsons, Owen and AJ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy Donald Davis Sr. and Lily (Hitchey) Davis, as well as his sister, Lillian (Davis) Bish.

Leroy was known for his absolute love for sports. The Indy 500 was his favorite annual event, having attended over 20 throughout the years. Leroy’s final goal was to watch one more Indy 500 on TV before he died. He followed the local sports teams often watching a TV, the iPad, and listening to the radio all at the same time. He wore his Detroit Lions hat proudly even though he said he would help them move.

Leroy also had an amazing knowledge of music which shined during his final days, playing for family and friends as they visited.

He will be interred on May 2, 2026, at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Wyandotte, MI.

Leroy will be truly missed.
