Lorna June Wright, 82, of Waterford, (formerly of Lake Orion and Pontiac) after a long and happy life, passed on to Heaven March 4, 2011 from cancer related complications. Lorna retired in 1993 after many enjoyable years as a Lake Orion School bus driver. Lorna was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Joseph Sidney Wright and her brother Glenn Carr of Davisburg, MI. Left to cherish her loving memories is her brother Norman (Marlene) Harrington of Applegate, MI; Her three sons, John Pittaway (Kris) of Auburn Hills, Larry (Bonnie) Pittaway of Waterford, David (Loretta) Wright of Lavonia, GA; Her two daughters, Janice (Fred) Sluder of Hernando, MS and Lynn (Russ) Perkins of Metamora, MI; Her fourteen grand children, Nicole Hatton, Andrea Epperson, Shawn Pittaway, Adam Pittaway, Amber Butler, Nathan Wheeler, Markeith Pollington, Cory Pittaway, Jason Hale, Jena Hale, Joshua Wright, Kelly Ballard, Julie Wright and Cody Perkins; and her seventeen great-grandchildren; Her special friends of many years Jerry Vogt and Alice Ruple.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent and payable to the First Presbyterian Church/Soup Kitchen, located at 433 N. Calhoun St. Lapeer, MI 48446.
A memorial service will be held at 11 AM, Saturday March 12th at the Immanuel Congregational United Christian Church located at 1 Hovey St. Oxford, MI 48371. . Heaven will be a little cleaner place from now on. Rest in Peace Lorna Wright! You are loved and will be truly missed by all!
