Flutur, Louis "Duane" Age 90. Passed away August 28, 2013. Husband of Lorraine for 66 years. Father of Randal, Ronald, Robert (Marti) and former father-in-law of Anne Flutur and Amy Jolgren. Grandfather of 9 and great grandfather of 12.
Louis (Duane) Flutur worked for Ford Motor Company for 32 years as a draftsman/tool analyst. His love for cars was highlighted when he and his son Rob, along with a friend, restored a 1928 Model A Roadster. Along with numerous cars he owned as a Ford employee, he especially enjoyed his 1957 T-Bird.
Duane and his wife Lorraine, were privileged to have many wonderful travel experiences all over the world including the Holy Lands and Romania. For 22 years, they wintered at a Christian community called Park of the Palms in Keystone Heights, Florida. They were also actively involved in the ministry of Upper Peninsula Bible Camp during the summer months. There were many fond memories made in these locations with numerous friends.
During their 66 years of marriage, both Duane and Lorraine faithfully served the Lord at Central Gospel Hall, Curtis Gospel Chapel and Faith Bible Church and most recently attended Woodside Bible Church.
Even when Duane worked many overtime hours, he managed to help and support his 3 boys, Randy, Ron, and Rob whenever needed. After retirement, he thoroughly enjoyed playing with his 9 grandchildren, and his family, including 12 great grandchildren, meant the world to him.
From the moment he met Lorraine until his death, Duane cherished the love of his life and was faithfully committed to her. Even at the end, Duane's prayer life and love for the Lord and his family, was a testimony to those around him.
