Louise Mary McCarthy Manos. Born October 17, 1927 in Taunton, Mass. Died on Wednesday, October 10 , 2012 at Age 84 in Sterling Heights, MI. Beloved wife of Alex Manos, loving mother of Mark and Allison Manos. Dear grandmother of Jacob and Emily Manos of Coral Springs, Florida and Alec and Emma Bantel of Auburn Hills, Mi. Louise left shortly after her mother's death and after graduating from high-school. She moved to Texas where her older sister lived. She later moved to San Francisco, California where she worked at Children's Hospital as a switchboard operator. After several years later she moved to Detroit to be a bride's maid in her friend's wedding. To make a long story short that is where she met her husband Alex. Louise had a quick Irish wit who enjoyed taking trips with family and friends throughout the United States and Europe. Louise had a unique personality that made strangers comfortable and at ease at first sight. She was a member of the Red Hatters at St. Blas Catholic Church in Sterling Heights and volunteered for many different charitable organizations. She touched many lives and made an imprint in the hearts of those who needed help. She will be terribly missed both by family and friends who were fortunate to have known her.
