Margaret Davis, 90, of Detroit Michigan passed away January 24, 2016 at home surrounded by family and friends.
She was born July 4, 1925 in Detroit, MI to the late David and Hattie Gardner and was the the second of eight siblings, five of whom preceded her in death; Precious Griggs, Hazel Robinson, Mary Board, David Gardner, Wallace Gardner. She was married to the late Jesse Davis for 36 years.
She served as a Tax Analysis at the Internal Revenue Service for more than 30 years. She was an avid golfer, volunteer, card player, world traveler, and fashionista.
She is survived by children, Gloria (Ronald) Rice and Lori Davis; Grandchildren, Lisa Brogdon and Ronald Rice, Jr.(Dana) ; Great-grandchildren, Xavier Rice, Lyndon Brogdon, and Caden Rice; Special friend and confidant, W.C.Chambliss ; Siblings, Lonnie Gardner, Henrietta Lawrence and Camell Gardner. In addition to those aforementioned , she leaves a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will remember her love, charity, style , grace , and the wonderful awe-filled life that she lived.
Services will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday, February 3, 2016. at Berea Lutheran Church, 18901 Wyoming, Detroit, MI 48221.
