Listen to Obituary

Marilyn Pierce, age 79, passed away peacefully on January 2nd, surrounded by her children.

Marilyn attended Pontiac Central High School and went on to attend Central Michigan University. During her college years, she worked as a lifeguard during the summers after returning home, reflecting her lifelong love of the water. She later built her career as a Dental Insurance Biller, from which she eventually retired.

After retirement, Marilyn’s greatest joy came from spending time with her furry best friend and constant companion, Scrappy. She also had a love for oldies music and enjoyed dancing—something those who knew her will always remember.

Marilyn is survived by her three children: Andrew (45), Lindsay (43), and Michael (41).

She will be remembered for her spirit, her perseverance, and the love she gave so freely. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Marilyn’s Life will be held at Eastern Palace Club in Hazel Park, owned by her son Michael, where friends and family are invited to gather and remember her on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, starting at 3pm. Memorial donations can be made in Marilyn's honor to the Alzheimer's Association.
