Marlene L. Tarrant

Marlene Lizabeth Tarrant, 78, of South Lyon, Michigan, went with the Lord on December 24, 2025. A beloved wife and sister, she is remembered as a very sweet soul with a gentle spirit.

Born on August 2, 1946, in Highland Park, Michigan, Marlene grew up in St Clair Shores with her sister Sandy and brother Randy. Marlene graduated from St Clair Shores High School in 1965 as the class salutatorian. While in school she worked as a co-op at Park-Davis, later working as an administrative assistant at Maccabees Insurance.

In her later months due to walking difficulties she greatly missed attending church at NorthRidge Church, but could still do her daily bible reading. She so enjoyed holiday time with family and time with her BSF friends Pranee, Mary, Mickey, and Jamie.

On April 19, 1975, Marlene married Michael Tarrant, who she first met on a blind date. It may or may not have been love at first site, but fifty years later they were still happily together.

Marlene is survived by her husband Michael, sister Sandy, and brother Randy along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

There will not be a memorial service.
