Nadine "Deanah" Theresa Rivers entered heaven from her home, on Wednesday, January 17, 2018. Born April 30, 1954 in Downriver, MI she also lived a short while in GA, before settling back in MI. She worked in hospice care, was a massage therapist, and active with arts and crafts and jewelry making, among other hobbies. She loved nature, had one of the greenest thumbs, and could inject her congeniality (as she was named in high school) into any situation! Survivors include her husband, Chuck Burkett, daughters Sarah Toboy (Brent Toboy) and Amber Reid (Eric Reid), and her 5 grandchildren Adelyn, Maxine, Tessa, Braydon and Cameron; sisters Christine Stamper, and Robin Blanchard; along with many cherished nieces and nephews, and friends. Deanah was preceded in death by her mother Regina Rivers, and sister Pauline Crispin.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, January 21st at Silver Shores, 1 James Desana Dr, Wyandotte, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are welcome to the following in support of cervical health awareness: www.nccc-online.org/me
