Nancy Lynn Fisher peacefully passed away on November 17, 2025, at the age of 99. Born in Crawfordsville, Indiana, on November 10, 1926, to John and Roberta Fisher, Nancy spent her formative years in Detroit and Highland Park, Michigan. She graduated from Highland Park High School in 1944 and continued her education at Highland Park Junior College, where she earned honors upon her graduation in 1946.

In 1948, Nancy married Warren B. Barone, with whom she raised two beloved sons. Nancy subsequently received her Bachelor of Arts in Education in 1971 from Wayne State University. Nancy dedicated nearly two decades to serving as a Public Information Specialist for the United States Army Recruiting Battalion in Detroit, Michigan, from 1973 to 1992. Her exemplary work was recognized with multiple commendations by the US Army.

Nancy was preceded in death by her cherished sister Helen Meek and daughter-in-law Antoinette Barone. She is survived by her sons, Charles J. (Marsha) Barone II and Warren (Wendelyn) Barone; grandchildren Amanda Pritchard and Charles L. Barone; and great-grandchildren Lyla, Clara, Giavonna, and Adalina.

Nancy enjoyed playing bridge, mastering crossword puzzles, and a chance at a jackpot. She was especially passionate about cats and rescued several over the years. She was a devoted member of the Central Woodward Christian Church for many decades.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Nancy’s memory may be made to the Humane Society of Huron Valley (https://www.hshv.org).

A celebration of Nancy’s life will be held at a later date.
