Pauline Leszcynski, 97, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2025.
Born on April 30, 1928, to Otto and Marie Schwanke, Pauline lived a life full of love, laughter, and adventure. She was a cherished wife, a devoted mother, and a proud “dog mom” to many beloved canine companions over the years.
Pauline loved spending time at the lake, always on the lookout for her “diamonds” sparkling in the water. In earlier years, she and her husband Gene shared countless fun times with friends—vacationing, hosting many, many cocktail parties, and enjoying life to the fullest. As Pauline loved to say, “It’s martini time!” She was especially fond of her niece, Cathy Good, and treasured the week they spent up north together—along with her sister Dolly—for their last farewell to the lake.
She is survived by her brother, Otto; her daughter Karen Brown and son-in-law Tony Brown; her son Scott Leszcynski and daughter-in-law Karen Andersen; and her son David Leszcynski and daughter-in-law Jodie Leszcynski. Pauline was a loving grandmother to Kristen Cooper, Matthew Lindeman, Brian Leszcynski, Lexie Leszcynski, Logan Leszcynski, Jennifer Gardner, and Robert Watson. Her legacy continues through her 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Pauline was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gene Leszcynski, and her sister, Dolores “Dolly” Peyton.
Her warmth, humor, and zest for life will be deeply missed by all who had the joy of knowing her. A celebration of life with her family is planned for September 6, 2025.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Humane Society in Pauline’s memory.
