What can I say about Richard. How does one sum up an entire life. We spent almost 20 years of our lives together. We spent a lot time talking about our past, our dreams, about life, about music about food and friendship. We had a lot of ups and down, many laughs and many memories but the best thing to come of our relationship was our beautiful son Ethan. He was so proud when Ethan was born and so excited to be a dad. When I first met him I was drawn to his outgoingness. Rich was the fun guy, the funny guy, the goofy guy. The one you could always pal around with. He was always there for a laugh or a good conversation. He was a self proclaimed life of the party. And all of his friends dubbed him with so many nicknames like Tons and the Yeti among others. People were drawn to him. He would make friends everywhere we'd go. Oh he could talk, and just about anything. He used to know so much. I would call him a plethora of useless information. A title he wore proudly. I swear he could have won millionaire. He prided himself on knowing directions anywhere without using a map or gps. He'd always joke and say "I am onstar how can I help you". Ethan got his good sense of direction from his dad. And don't get me started on music triva. He used to try to test my knowledge every day. He loved music, metal and rock mostly. He could tell you the name of the song the artist and even what album it was from. I think Pink Floyd was his favorite. The wall was one of the first movies we ever watched together. He was so excited to show it to me. I know he tried to pass some of that down to Ethan. One of his favorite memories was when we took Ethan up north to my parents property. He loved being outside in the woods he swore the air was cleaner up there. Another was the Christmas get togethers he had with his mom's side of the family and with his dad's side of the family he loved Christmas, the lights the decorations the music, it was always a special time of year for him. He looked forward to it so much, every year, being with his parents, sister, brother in law, nephew, grandparents, aunts, uncle's and cousins, it brought so much joy to him. Visiting and having a good time always made him the happiest. Every year on Christmas eve he was so excited to eat tukays (i don't know how to spell it) I think that was his favorite food. I'm so grateful for this tradition, and that he and I got to be a part of it. I know he looked forward to the Christmas cookies he got every year from his Aunt Jeanie. I wish he was here so he could tell you more about his childhood memories I know he remembered a lot about his grandpa Joe and telling him stories about the war, going to Florida with his parents and camping with his uncle Ron. He loved spending time with his grandma Betty and grandma Lorraine, eating lunches in the cemetery. Besides a good sense of direction and music trivia Rich also had a few different talents he was good at cooking the first thing he ever made for me was chilli and everything he cooked was good. He had a green thumb, he liked gardening and grew a little vegetable garden in my mom's backyard he was so proud of it. He was also was really good at drawing I used to ask him to draw stuff for me all the time. Anyone who knows him knows that he was really passionate about politics. I genuinely believe that Rich wanted this world to be a better place. He wanted us to have better care and resources for the sick, the poor, the young and the elderly. He wanted to give a voice to the voiceless. His dream was to be a pot farmer and I'm glad he got to live a little of that before he left. I know Ethan is glad they got to spend some time together just the two of them for a little while. Ethan is going to miss him so much. Even though we weren't together when he passed were still friends. I will miss so many things about him. I think a part of me will always love him.

Goodbye Richard love your babydoll.
