Obituary of Richard Larson

Carrying the love of his friends and family, Richard M. Larson passed into the loving arms of God on February 18, 2011. Leaving the world a better place, he is survived by an adoring wife Meria Ellena Larson, Son James Mathew Larson and daughters Janet Marie Larson and Patricia Ann Larson. He has six grandchildren. Richard was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 6, 1928. He served in the U.S. Army and graduated from Albion College with a degree in business. He had a fifty year career in finance and was deeply rooted as a Rotarian. He fully loved Michigan. He was a fan of Michigan football and the Detroit Tigers. He loved skiing, boating, and the arts. Dick especially loved opera and ball room dancing. Dick coveted lifelong friendships and taught love and kindness by being. Dick Larson will live in our hearts forever. A FRIEND TO ALL. Services will be held at The Metropolitan United Methodist Church in Detroit on Friday, February 25th at 11:00 am, visitation at 10:00am. Memorials can be directed to Michigan Opera Theatre.
