Obituary of Robert T. Boerger

Boerger, Robert T. passed away May 17, 2011. Beloved husband of Joan. Loving father of Kathy (Tom) Bentz, Barbara Walker, Cheri (Lewis) Caleo, Merry (Larry) McCray, Mark (Wendy) Braun, Andrea (Gregory) Redfeairn and Karla (William) Golpe. Dear grandfather of 16 and great grandfather of 4. Also survived his brothers; Charles, John and Mark and his sisters; Eunice, Ruth and Nancy and many friends.

Bob served as a Lutheran minister for 25 years and then worked as a systems analyst for Michigan Bell. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel after serving 20 years as a chaplain for the Army National Guard.

In college Bob sang with the Lutheran Hour Chorus and traveled with the choir throughout the United States. He had a lifetime love of music of all kinds and he especially enjoyed singing with his church choir.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, May 30, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Northwest Unitarian Church, 23925 Northwestern Highway, Southfield, MI. Please sign Robert’s guestbook.
