Sarah Jane Hime

Sarah Jane Hime, born March 20, 1937, passed peacefully on May 28, 2026, at the age of 89. A 61 year resident of Troy, Michigan, Sarah lived a life marked by devotion—to her family, her faith, and her community. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jesse Hime, with whom she shared many years of partnership, laughter, and family.

Jane was the proud mother of six children: Susan (John) Wills, Mary Coulter, Tim Hime, Mitsy Hime, Katy (Dave) West, and her late daughter Beth Hime. She was a grandmother and great‑grandmother whose heart was always open. Her grandchildren include JP West, Eric and Amber Wills, Brad and James (Stacy) Coulter, and her great‑grandchildren Declan, Jameson, Dylan, Savannah, Kyle, Ryan, and Zoey. Each of them brought her joy, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

For many years, Jane served the Troy School District as a school bus driver, safely guiding generations of children to and from school with patience and care. Her commitment to service extended to her faith community as well—she was a founding member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, where she built lifelong friendships and lived out her deep Catholic faith.

Jane will be remembered for her warmth, her steady presence, and the love she poured into her family. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched.

Visitation will be held on June 6, 2026, at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. and a luncheon at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 280 E. Square Lake Road, Troy, MI 48085.
