Shirley Mae Griesbeck, born December 28, 1929 in Detroit, Mi, passed away September 24, 2020 in Lake Orion, Mi. Married 65 years to her beloved husband, Frederick, "Chick" Griesbeck, who preceded her in death on July 25, 2019. As well, she was proceeded in death by her devoted and much-loved brother, Paul Collins. She is survived by her cherished family: son, Ken Griesbeck, sisters Diane Collins and Audrey Buck, and sister-in law, Taeko Collins, as well as her grandkids, Andrea Buchanan and Adam Griesbeck. Mother in law to Kari Griesbeck and great-grandmother to five grandkids (Hailey, Amalia, Oliver, Landon, and Ben), Shirley enjoyed her time by the river, in her garden, and spoiling kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. An avid gardener for many years, she delighted in sharing her flowers and sitting on the porch soaking in her yard and spending time with her family. As well, Shirley was gifted at needlework and created countless beautiful pieces that she gave to friends, neighbors, and family. Her love of family extended to all family dogs, cats, and assorted creatures. She lived out her final days at her sons home, enjoying daily sessions of chatting, delighting in homemade dishes made specially for her, and watching the river swans take their daily swim across the river. We celebrate her life and legacy that will be carried on by her adored family.
