Sieglinde Boutwell

Sieglinde Boutwell, passed away peacefully on 09/02/2026 at the age of 91. Originally from Germany, she settled in Ferndale in 1965, where she built a life and became a longtime member of the community.

Sieglinde was an engaging and charming woman whose warmth made everyone around her feel welcome. Thoughtful, compassionate, and kind, she had a wonderful wit and a sense of humor that could brighten any room. She was wise, yet never too serious to share a laugh or enjoy a good conversation. Above all, she was deeply loving and devoted to her family. She would do anything for the people she loved and was always there when they needed her.

An avid reader, she found joy and companionship in books and cherished the quiet pleasure of getting lost in a good story. Her love of reading reflected the curiosity, wisdom, and depth that were such a part of who she was.

Sieglinde leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, kindness, and countless memories. Preceded in death by her daughter Karen. She is survived by her son Ronald (Pok Im) Boutwell. She will be deeply missed by granddaughters Savanna (Michael) Boutwell and Kaitlin (Scott) McManis; great-grandchildren Aurora and Kaleb; and all those fortunate enough to have shared a cup of coffee, a conversation, or a moment of laughter with her.
