Stacey Elizabeth Magee

Stacey Elizabeth Magee (Gould), Age 66 of Westland, Michigan, passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 14, 2025. Born on June 20, 1959, in Detroit, Michigan.

Stacey was the beloved daughter of the late Theodore A. and Carol Gould. She was the older sister of Yvonne Gould and was preceded in death by her other younger sisters Michele Walters (Steve) and Laura Gould-White (Tony), Stacey is survived by her two loving children, Matthew (Chrissy) Magee and Emily (James) Maxwell, and her adored grandson, Matthew James Maxwell. She also leaves behind her four “grand doggies”, who brought here endless joy (Lacy, Laila, Lily, and Haddie).

Stacey’s family was truly her pride and joy. A graduate of John Glenn High School in Westland, class of 1977, Stacey began her career as a key punch operator at Burroughs in Plymouth, where she met her future husband, David Magee. Although they later divorced, they remained close friends until David’s passing in 2017. Stacey continued her career at Stonepath Logistics and other companies until major back and neck surgeries made it impossible for her to continue working.

Stacey was known by all for her vibrant spirit and generous heart. She was the life of every party, always ready with a joke, a smile, and a helping hand. She gave more than she had to anyone in need and loved her family and friends above all else. Music and animals were another major love in her life. Despite living for more than 20 years with excruciating and debilitating pain, Stacey never lost her sense of humor or her ability to brighten the day of everyone around her. There was truly no one quite like Stacey. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but especially by her children (her greatest accomplishment, as she often said).
