Obituary of Thomas J. Gillingham

Thomas J. Gillingham, October 4, 2017, Age 78 of Birmingham, MI. Beloved son of the late James and Bernice (Rivers) Gillingham, and husband of the late Linda (Gibson) Gillingham. He is survived by Gigi Debbrecht, his partner of 27 years and his children, Brian Gillingham (Tina Garcia) and Amy LaBute (Larry) and step-sons Michael and John Debbrecht. He was loved by Grandchildren: Sam and Sarah Smithson, Brian Garcia (Taliza) and Grace and Dane Debbrecht; and Great Grandchildren: Savannah Garcia and Wyatt and Jason Smithson. He graduated from Birmingham High School class of 1958, and attended Arts & Crafts (Center for Creative Studies) prior to serving in the Army. He will be missed by friends and associates from advertising and sales and marketing positions. He was a lifelong golf, photography and car enthusiast. He also enjoyed skiing, motorcycle and car racing, and science fiction. Memorial service Sunday October 15, 2017, from 1pm - 4pm at The Masters, 1775 E. Thirteen Mile Rd, Madison Heights MI.
