Obituary of Warren F Artman

Warren F. Artman, Age 83, of Novi, passed away peacefully at Angela Hospice surrounded by his family on May 22, 2014. Born March 4, 1931, he was the beloved husband of Sigrid (nee Nelson) and the late Gwen (nee Howe). Devoted father of Dan (Sandy) Artman, Mary Ann Artman and Carolyn Artman (Jeff Samoray). Dearest stepfather of Anne (Ron) Milio, Elizabeth (Rob) Smith, Mary Beth (Ashley) Kees, the Rev. Tom Kelly and Maureen Kelly. Loving grandfather of Kaycee Artman, Natalie Milio, Austin Kees, Kelly, Kathryn and Connor Smith. Also survived by sister-in-law Donna (the late Mike) Artman, close family friend Mary Joa and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Warren was an avid golfer who enjoyed traveling, and spending his winters surrounded by his wife and many friends on the Gulf of Mexico in Orange Beach, Alabama.

He was a retired Ford Motor Company electrician who graduated from Henry Ford Trade School and was a proud Navy veteran who served on the USS Bennington during the Korean War. Warren was an eternal optimist who always had a smile on his face, a positive outlook on life and made friends wherever he went.

A Catholic Funeral Mass and Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7 at Church of the Holy Family, 24505 Meadowbrook in Novi; visitation at 9:30 a.m., mass at 10:30 a.m. Cremation has taken place.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Gilda's Club or Angela Hospice.
